Meet The Partners

There are nine doctors in the Partnership - six male and three female, and one nurse practitioner Partner.

Dr Andrew Gallagher

Dr Gallagher has been a GP at Rosebank Medical Practice since 1990. His General Practice interests include cardiology, particularly heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He is the Cardiology Lead for the local Clinical Commissioning Group and helps run the Community Heart Failure Service. He is married with two grown up children and his outside interests include golf, fellwalking and astronomy.

Dr Lesley Braddock

Dr Braddock practises from Rosebank and Galgate Surgeries and works six sessions a week. She joined the Practice in August 2003. She studied Medicine at St Andrews University, Scotland and Queens University Belfast. Prior to this she completed a degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology and while a student spent some of her summer holidays working in Uganda. Her clinical interests are tropical medicine, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology. She is involved with training at Rosebank and she is married with one child. Her outside interests include sailing and mountaineering. She attends St John’s Church, Ellel.
Dr Emily Mills

Dr Mills joined the Practice in August 2006 as a Registrar and stayed on as a Salaried Doctor the following year, becoming a Partner in August 2008. She works at Rosebank and Scale Hall Surgeries. Dr Mills trained at St Andrews and Manchester Universities. She has lived and worked in Lancaster since 2002. Her particular clinical interest is acute medicine. Dr Mills is married and in her spare time she enjoys travel, music, literature and spending time with friends and family.

Dr Smith joined the Practice in August 2007 and works mainly at Rosebank and Scale Hall Surgeries. He trained at St Andrews and Manchester Universities. His areas of special interest are ENT, paediatrics and tropical medicine. He is passionate about the great outdoors and enjoys mountain biking, walking, camping and skiing. He enjoys travelling to different parts of the world.
Dr Gavin Torr

Dr Torr joined the Practice on 1st April 2010 and works at Rosebank and Galgate surgeries. He trained at The University of Dundee where he had previously completed a degree in Pharmacology. His clinical interests are Acute Medicine, ENT, Palliative Care and Medical Education. He is married and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing, canoeing and sea kayaking. He has family spread all over the world and enjoys travelling.
Dr Rahul Keith

Dr Keith was born in Lancaster and studied at LRGS. He read medicine at the University of Glasgow and then completed his GP training in the South Lakes and Carnforth area in 2010 and briefly worked as a Locum for Dr Jackson after completing his training. He has been working as an Associate GP in Carnforth and Silverdale for the last year, but is very excited to be returning as a Partner to Rosebank.  

 

He enjoys the variety that general practice has to offer and has particular interests in medical education, research in primary care and minor surgery.

 

Dr Keith lives in Scorton with his wife and daughter, and enjoys walking, biking and playing the piano.

Sr Bridget Kingcox

Nurse Practitioner / Partner

Bridget joined the Practice in 2003 as a practice nurse. She qualified as a Nurse Practitioner in 2007 and became a Partner in April 2010. Bridget works from Rosebank and Galgate Surgeries and sees acute medical problems every morning. She is an independent, non-medical prescriber. Two afternoons a week she concentrates on chronic health problems, her main speciality being diabetes. She also has an interest in asthma and COPD. Bridget leads the team of 3 Practice Nurses and one health care assistant. She is married with three boys. The family enjoy sailing, skiing and walking in the Lakes.
